Default Roethlisberger's Temperature On Monday

Roethlisberger clears up temperature controversy

By Scott Brown
TRIBUNE-REVIEW
Friday, September 22, 2006

How a simple thermometer reading became news probably had Ben Roethlisberger shaking his head.
The Steelers quarterback, nonetheless, tried to clear up any lingering questions about what exactly his temperature was during Monday night's game in Jacksonville.

Roethlisberger said his temperature was 100.4, not 104, which had been reported by ESPN's Michelle Tafoya.

Steelers coach Bill Cowher had said the same thing the day after the Steelers' 9-0 loss to the Jaguars.

That's pretty funny there. He might not have had that high of a tempurature, but you could tell he was hurting. We'd have been better off with Batch in there. Just like Troy Polamalu...he was playing hurt and was ineffective, would've been better off with a backup in there for him as well.

Yea I didn't hear anything about Ben having a temp till today when I ran across this article. Makes me wonder if he/they are looking for excuses?

Nah, they said PRIOR to the game that he had a 104 (I thought it was 105) temp....so it's hardly an excuse lol. The stupid woman reporter for ESPN said it in pregame.

LOL, i thought that must be wrong, 104 is deadly for an adult, theyd be throwing him in a bucket of ice with that temp.

104 did sound so extreme. You stand even stand with a temp. that high. Football would have been out of the question.

I said "You stand even stand" so that was the problem. And lol. You also spelled temperature wrong. Lol. I knew I spelled it wrong but I was to lazy to fix it.
