I would bet money that the Cowboys make money off their cheerleaders. There is cost in paying for all the stuff but there is a swimsuit calander that makes alot of money and they have TV showes about girls trying out for the team and also about making the swimsuit calande. They also go on USO tours that helps with goodwill and it is another way of getting your teams name out there. Which can help in marketing. I have seen Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders halloween costumes and I bet they have out sould some teams football costumes. I do not think every teams Cheerleaders make money, if they did all teams would be doing it but if you do it right you should be able to turn a profit.

Dallas also has highly reputable, talented cheerleaders. Most cheerleaders don't have that kind of prestige. Look at the Texans and Raiders, they get all you guys' rejects. No team is gonna make the money on cheerleaders that Dallas does, and so few bother to try. Atlanta still has the cutest ones though

Most teams that have them do not do a good job with them. Thinking about it it is kinda hard to tell what all teams have cheerleaders and which ones dont.

Stromdriver is right though no other team is going to have the success with cheerleaders that Dallas does.

well like you said, if they get some from local colleges, then the expense will be very low. i guess its just a good thing to have.

The downside is that when you do that, you can't do calendars or photo shoots. They serve no purpose other than to cheer during the game.

The Steelers were actually the first team to have cheerleaders. I often think it would be great to have em again as someone said previously they are hot nowadays. They could audition local gogo girls... on the other hand they are a distraction and kind of a departure from the traidtion and class of the STeeler orginization.
