the steelers are not a playoff team
hell they werent one last year

So what does that say about the mighty 14-2 Colts who started 13-0 and then had to rally furiously after being spanked for 3 quarters by a "nonplayoff" caliber team?

the steelers got lucky last year. they played well at the right time. good for them

I wonder what team will be lucky this year when they knock the Colts out.

Um, that is kind of the objective of every NFL team chief. Play your best football in the playoffs, not necessarily the regular season.

Colts fans have taken on the persona of their QB. All they really care about are regular season wins, TDs, and yards. Its all about the MVPs. Superbowls are for inferior QBs like Brady and Roethlisberger.

i disagree entirely. the steelers last year would have likely gone 15-1 or 14-2 had roethlisberger played all season, they were the clearly best team in the league.
this year, however...no. just no. and to those who say they're a good team with bad luck...no. inconsistency might turn a 15-1 team into an average team, but it won't turn them into a below-average team. you guys are 3-6 and any team, literally ANY team has a chance to beat you. looking at the schedule, you don't have any "should-win" games. if you're bad, you're bad. you may be a few pieces away, as the ravens were last year, but you're still a bad team.

no not at all. i have came to the realization that the colts will probably never win a super bowl unless they change how they operate. pound the rock and stop the run. until then i just have to embrace the regular season

My point is simple. Without the excessive turnovers the Steelers are probably 7-2 or 8-1 right now. That tells me that the main issue is stupid mistakes. Now not making these stupid mistakes is part of being a good team so I agree to a point. This is basically the same team as it was last year.
While the Steelers don’t have any “should win” games as you say (and I disagree there) they don’t have any “should lose” games either. I don’t see any team in the NFL right now that the Steelers can’t beat. The offense is too good and the defense is a little pressure away from returning to form.
I’m not being a homer either. I’m very realistic about the changes that need to be made and the situation that they are in. I don’t feel bad for them and I’m not making excuses. You don’t turn the ball over like that and frankly if that doesn’t stop they need to find players that don’t do it and a coach that can instill that mindset. They are where they are because of how they have played.
