What happened with Staley since he's been in Pittsburgh is he played the first 7 games, and got 707 yards in those 7 games, and then got hurt by a cheapshot in the Pats game. They punched him in the hamstring or something, and that sidelined him for the rest of that year, and then injuries lingered on into '05. It is said he was healthy from week 5 or something on last year, but chose to let Bettis have his day, so didn't complain about being inactive all year. If he is indeed fully recovered, he's an upgrade over the Bus and should be a good 3rd down/short yardage back behind Willie Parker this year. Most people (including myself) question his ability to stay healthy at this point in his career, but he looked like an absolute stud in our system back in '04 prior to the injury.

Yeah staleys a good guy, when do you here of a ruuning back sitting out like that. He was just waiting for his time, He never had camp last year so this year looks to be good.

BTW if you see him at all he hasnt missed any gym time cause he's looking buff.

Yeah, he's one of the true good guys I think. He did sit out on the 40 shuttles in camp though, so that's not good. The guy always was built like a tank. I just hope he's healthy all season and does a good job of spelling Fast Willie at times.
