Duce Staley: Agrees to Restructure Deal
RotoWire.com Staff - RotoWire.com
Friday, March 3, 2006
Update: Staley and the Steelers have agreed to a restructured contract to take some stress off the team as they try to get under the salary cap, the Pittsburgh Tribune Review reports.
Recommendation: Staley was scheduled to make $2.5 million next year while counting $4.3 million against the cap. They have not come to terms on the specifics of the deal, but the hardest part is behind them.

Tommy Maddox: Cut Loose by Steelers
RotoWire.com Staff - RotoWire.com
Friday, March 3, 2006
Update: The Steelers cut Maddox on Friday, the Associated Press reports.
Recommendation: This was an expected move by the Steelers, who have no need for Maddox on their roster. He may be able to catch on elsewhere, but as nothing more than a backup.

i don't like Duce either, he was smart to take the pay cut because if he hadn't he probably wouldn't be playing anywhere next year.

Maroney would be huge in Pittsburgh. A speed back that has power to, he would really excell with the Steelers.
