Steelers Roethlisberger tweaks knee in practice

Quote:
Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports Ben Roethlisberger quit in the middle of practice today after his left knee was injured and while he continued to limp an hour later it appears there was no damage.

Steelers trainer John Norwig took a long look at the quarterback, who limped heavily around the field, and his knee was then stretched out. Roethlisberger then watched the rest of practice and limped off the field with his teammates.

Coach Mike Tomlin declined to discuss the injury and said through a spokesman that there would be no updates.

Roethlisberger also declined to talk about the injury after practice or how it happened. An hour later, he was dressed in shorts, a golf shirt and a baseball cap with no support on the knee and while he continued to limp, no one seemed concerned about it.

He his making a name for himself by getting hurt all the time. While he has been able to play while being hurt in the long run it will catch up with him. McNair had seasons that he seemed to play the whole time hurt and I think he cut into his playing days.
