So if the opposing return man makes a good return and sets his team up in field goal range, then it's the D's fault?

Well no. Then its the special teams fault. This is really quite basic...

So it should be like college were it's like a shootout. Like each team gets a chance to match, if they can't other team wins.

I like college OT how it is and I like NFL OT how it is. Both versions are exciting. In college both teams get a chance and in the NFL its one mistake and the game is over. Both are good ways of deciding a winner.

No, that isn't what I'm saying. I'm saying leave the rule alone. The defense is going to have to stop the other team to give their team a chance to win and if they can't then that's too bad. I know all of our teams have been on both ends of overtime and it's great when our team scores on the opening possession and wins and it sucks when the other team scores on the opening possession but that's the way it is and the way it should stay. If it gets messed with too much then the excitement will be taken away as well. I used to beleive each team should be given an offensive possession, but what happens if both teams score and time runs out? You would end up with a tie and who wants that?

You do realize that one big play, not even, one medium play that puts the other team in field goal range and it's over. It's boring like that, a shootout would be more fun. Maybe they can do like hockey but just with field goals lol.. The NFL would only gain money because people would buy more food and drinks and everything..

Ok, say they do it your way with only field goals, why not only touchdowns? (laugh) I understand the frustration with the way OT is now but I don't see a realistic way of changing it at this time. Maybe give each team a chance to score (and both teams do score) then after that the first team to score a second time wins, even if it means an extra ot period. Who knows.

Who gave me bad rep for post #25 of this thread?!?!?!?! I'm so tired of this. I keep getting tons of bad rep for no reason. And the person or people who are giving me all this pointless bad rep dont ever sign their name. F-ing losers.

Oh.. that would be a great Idea.. they should do it like that. Only touchdowns would make the game a lot better. I would love to see that.
