I also memtioned the Vet too. add another thirty years. and the fact of the matter is WHEN THE STEELERS COME TO OUR HOUSE, YOU DON'T BRING ALOT OF FANS. And I'll tell you why, it's the whole intimitdation aura that goes with the Eagles and there fans. the same vibe that a travel agent in Tampa Bay would'nt book trips to the NFC champoinship game a couple of years back cause he was worried about what might happen to Bucc fans. nobody comes to our house and makes noise like the Raiders do in San Diego or like you guys might do in say Cincinnati. The Dog Pound, The Black Hole, are thrid rate to the likes of us.
I've read the last couple pages of this thread and I have to say this philly has no idea how to defend an argument. First you call pittsburghers "rednecks" and "hicks". I don't know if you've ever seen a Pittsburgh game but usually its cold. Even during the summer its good if its above mid 80s. Also, Pittsburgh's characterized as a hard working blue collar city so how can you even suggest that we're hicks. You must be thinking of West Virginia. Pittsburghers are the most intense people about football you'll ever see so when they see a fan from any other team they get pissed so don't be offended when you get booed. I sat in one section and there was one patriots fan who got up and he got booed like crazy. You say Philly has so much history and is so great but it also has a reputation as a disgusting place to live. I stopped there once on a trip north and as soon as I got out there was a nasty stench and trash was everywhere. It's a unsafe dirty crap place to live and everybody knows it. Philly's greatest acheivement was the cheesesteak sandwich. The reason there's a lot of steeler fans around is b/c the mills closed an a lot of families moved through the US. The reason there's philly fans around is b/c the place sucks and people want out. Stop using all kinds of cliches "walk the walk" just say what you want to (And by the way Steelers do walk the walk at every away game not only are they there but they're loud. Pittsburgh 5 lombardi trophies, Philly 0)
