Yea the refs have lost a lot of credability in my book. They can however control the outcome of the game. Kind of like the weather man.

No calls in the SB were that bad, or that big. Well, the tackle of Hassleback call was just as bad, but it sure didn't have that kind of an impact. That INT was a minimum of a 7 point turnaround, and possibly 14 points.

The hasselbeck tackle was a blatant call, just ridiculous but the other ones were legit.

He did push of townsend in the endzone
He did hold on clark haggans jersey
The TD did cross the plain, he was down before the endzone when he was pushed back, but he did what he needed to, and that wouldve been the hardest play to overturn because they say they need "undisputable" or "inconclusive" evidence that he wasnt in...unlike in the int that brought back painful memories (that were later soothed by the most accurate kicker in the history of the world"

1. More blatant push offs don't get called, that was weak.
2. no one outside of Steelers fans call that holding.
3. And no the ball never crossed the "plane" of the endzone. You said it yourself, "he was down BEFORE the endzone".
And finally in another post you stated that Steeler fans are the most loyal? they're not even the most loyal in there own state. sure right after the AFC championship game they went out and bought whatever paraphernalia thay could find. but two years eariler you could get Steeler stuff half price DURING the season.

Do you see all the steelers fans in the stands of all their away games...they travel.

Im not really sure how grabbing someones jersey sleeve isnt holding, some push offs like that arent called but should be, you cant really argue once its called because it is the rule. And ben was pushed back before the endzone after the fact he was over the plain.

I agree that they were close calls, but they were all legit.

BTW a seahawks writer and radio host evn said the holding was a good call, so much for no one outside of steelers fans.

My whole point is {and mind you I did'nt care which team won** that push off call was weak in the way ref's generally call them. the Steelers player did'nt budge or was really affected by it.
As far as the holding call, if you watched the SB, every one in the anouncers booth and DOZENS of other experts laughed at that call. being a former OL myself I doubt I would have ever gotten hit with that.

Obviously its a touchy call, but he did grab the sleeve, most of the time it wouldnt be called, i dont know why it was this time, same with the PI, but it is the rule and its insulting to say the steelers couldnt have won without the refs. The refs didnt block for willie, or tell defenders to bite on the trick play, or make ward rip a ball out of a defenders hand to convert on third and long. Or tell hasseslbeck to throw a pick in the redzone, or tell Jeremy Stevens to consistantly drop passes.

The Hasselbeck tackle was ridicualous, but the defense showed up and was playing well all game.

No call was worse than the polamalu int against the colts, anyone who says that wasnt a pick doesnt know anything about football.
