A couple of moments that I will always remember, and treasure.
The first is the Immaculate Reception, 1972. 4th and 10, with time running out. The Steelers last chance. For me, this is still the greatest play in NFL history, and remains one of the most controversial. If you ask Raiders fans, they`ll tell you the ball never touched Jack Tatum AND it hit the ground, before Franco Harris grabbed it and raced to the end zone. It was the first playoff victory in the history of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Second is OJ rushing for 2,000 yards, 1973. The final game of the season, the Bills vs the Jets at Shea Stadium. Snow falling as Simpson runs off tackle for the record. At the time, 2,000 yards was unheard of, and the regular season was only 14 games long. It took more than a decade for the next RB to reach 2,000 yards.
