Thumbs up

I have played in High School football, and intramural college football. I was also asked to try out for our local semi-pro team, several years ago, but never did. I wish I would've now. I really miss playing. I was also an assistant coach. I coached the Offensive line. My highlights there include, not giving up a QB sack all season, we had the number offense in the league, and went undefeated. I also helped out on the D-Line, from time to time. Mainly, just teaching certain techniques. It was a lot of fun too. It just demands too much time though. My best game, as a player, I recorded 3 1/2 QB sacks, and forced a fumble. My best friend and I put the starting QB out of the game and then we beat up on the 2nd stringer. Nobody stayed home to block me, when he rolled out to the far side of the field, and I had a ten yard full sprint into him. Probably the hardest I ever hit anyone. People told me after the game that they could hear that crack all the way up in our stands; which was on the opposite side of the football field. What a Rush!

I played a little ball, though when they move you from WR, to Corner, finally to Saftey, they're tryin to tell you that you're just another slow white guy

Now I coach. Last year I coached QB's, WR's RB's and some Secondary for a semi-pro team in my town. After starting 1 and 3, we ran the table to make the playoffs. We got beat in round one 3-0. It began to rain early in the second quarter, and never let up. There we were, losing 3-0 in the pouring rain to a team we had beaten 52-6 just a few weeks earlier. Still, I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather be.

My highlight of the season was when the HeadCoach decided to let me and the DC take over a game in the second half. Since the DC had never gotten to coach offense, we traded. I ran his D, he ran our O. Under my play callin, we posted 2 sacks (on a very elusive, 4.6 speed QB), and 3 picks (one for a Touchdown). I had an absolute blast, as we beat the opponent 62-6. I love coachin. I can't think of anything else I'd rather do.

I played D-end in H.S. My team was average throughout my 4 years, but I became a decent player considering I never played organized football before H.S. Now my oldest son is on the Frosh team of my biggest rival and is a QB of all things. I tease him relentlessly but am also very proud.
