3) We've been talking about overrated teams lately, now make your case for two underrated teams in the NFL.

1- SF played a tad over their heads last year, even considering they were 7-9. By adding a buch of FA's they killed alot of continuity. Over proced FA's dont make a mediocre team good. They usually just make a medocre team slightly less medicore in the short term, and a bad team in cap hell long term. I say SF finishes last. If Jackson and Bulge get healthy, they rams will win a few more games

2- I'll go Jared Allen, Aaron Kampman, Trent Cole, Osi Uminyora, and Demarcus Ware, and a guy I think should be a candidate but probobly isnt, Darnell Dockett. Out of that group, I will go with Allen. He has had sacks in all but one game this year, and had multiple sacks 4 out of 7 games

3- As for underratded teams, I have to give it to SD. They still have the talent of that 14-2 team a year ago, but are clearly struggling with the coaching change. If they can adapt and get over that hump they will be the hottest team in the second half, and a real threat to NE in the playoff's

i agree with SF killing themselves with cap penaties, they are gonna have to rely on the Free Agency again because the worse they get the Patriots are the ones that benefit as they own SFs 1st rounder this year. keep up the suckfest San Fran, your only gonna make it worse for the rest of the league if the Pats end up with #1

The Chargers aren't under-rated, they just flat-out suck!

From a talent perspective they are still up there with anyone. Norv Turner is proving to people that he can be an effective play caller as an OC. Couple that with the fact that he has terrible team management skills.. Couple that with the fact that Cotrell took a D that thrive on bieng aggressive and turned it vanilla. This team has the talent to beat any team in the NFL

If the Minnesota Vikings could beat them, then so could the Dolphins and Rams.

They can't beat the Patriots...and they aren't Super Bowl contenders. They began 1-3. They just got lucky due to special teams.

In todays NFL any team can beat any team.

Like I said, either they havent adjusted to the coaching change, or the coaching change was terrible, but this is the same talent that went 14-2 last year. This is a team that is 1- capable of getting hot 2- on a good day capable of upseting NE in the playoffs

this is the NFL. im sure you heard the phrase "any given sunday". anybody can lose any week. the best teams can look like the worst and the worst look like the best. every team gets luck from time to time so i wouldnt consider that a valid argument. so if someone knocks off the Patriots does that mean they arent any good? say if the Dolphins beat them, does that mean that everyone else can? the NFL is based on matchups, some teams just match up good against certain teams while they struggle against others. parity is what makes the NFL a beautiful game.

Then how do you explain "repeated contenders?" The Colts and the Patriots are a prime example.

Sometimes, a team thinks they can run over a weaker team, and they wind up losing.

I agree with both P-Rez and Grunt about the 49ers, they didn't develop an offense and they just didn't get off to good start and you can't win every game without an offense. Also that good looking O line for last year really dissapointed.

Defensive Players... Osi Umenyiora, Demarcus Ware, Antonio Cromartie, Brady Poppinga. I think Cromatie is going to take it home though because, I mean he's only started 1 game I think and is a co leader in number of interceptions. It was really hard for me not to pick Osi.

Must underrated teams - SD and NYG, I think that SD came into this season with a lot of hype, played two really good defenses and then played a phenomenal defense and offense in GB, and got off to a very slow start. They'll be smokin' hot in the final stretch and should be able to crack a playoff berth in their division.

Yes that's right I said it NYG, they came into this year with their team in shreds, they lost huge cogs in their defense, offense everywhere. They lost a huge team leader in Tiki, they almost lost a leader in Strahan and now, they're standing at 6-3, and last week had a chance to tie the division with Dallas and let it slip away with stupid penalties, that all it was, stupid penalties. They're definitely going to finish this season out strong and will secure a playoff berth hopefully. Next time Dallas and the G-men meet, Divisional playoffs.
