Okay, for those who have seen the show, you know the jist of what we're starting here. For those that down, Around the Horn is a game show where 4 panelists debate over current sports topics. In our case, it'll be mainly football related. Points are given to each panelist based on good or great answers, and are deducted points for bad ones. At the end of each round of discussion, a panelist will be eliminated based on a low score, until two remain and face off for the win. The winner each week will get to choose between two prizes: 100K points or a new sig. Also, the winner will be guaranteed a spot in the next competition.
We're going to change things up a bit, and have 5 panelists instead of 4. We'll have Keep in mind that if you sign up for this, you need to be active throughout the week and won't be eligible for the next two weeks if you sign up and then don't show up. All mods are eligible to sign up to judge for a week, and others will be soon if they show that they can do a good, un-biased job. Only 3 weeks worth of a sign up sheet will be available at the time, so just sign up for one slot, and things will move accordingly if you want to sign up again.
The basic scoring is:
2 points for a good point/answer
3 points for a great answer
-1 points for a bad answer or speaking out of turn.
The Four Rounds go as follows:
1. The First Word-Game Analysis for example
2. Buy Or Sell-For instance, Buy or Sell the Saints making the playoffs
3. Out of Bounds-Andy Reid's family situation and if he should retire
4. Face Off-3 topics, two contestants make the best argument and whoever wins 2 of 3 topics wins it all.
So, if you're all game for this, then start signing up, and feel free to give me some input on topics that we could discuss..
Okay, we'll shoot for the weekend. As soon as we get a couple more people in on it this week, I'll figure out how we'll go about it all.

2. Are the Browns playoff contenders?
3. Can the Patriots go undefeated?
4. Team rivalries: Do they impact a team's offseason decisions (ex. KC and MIN: the Chiefs signed Napoleon Harris in FA, but the Vikes' defense doesn't seem to have been affected, whereas the Chiefs' D has been affected after losing Kawika Mitchell to the Giants.)
5. Are there such things as "system Quarterbacks?"
6. Who wins NFL MVP?
7. What happened to the Dolphins?
8. Are the Cardinals contenders in the coming years?
9. Is Donovan McNabb the source of the Eagles' offensive and off-field problems? (including the T. O. fiasco.)
10. Who replaces Peyton Manning when he "calls it quits?"
11. Who is the cause of the Jets' woes?
