Who was the Greatest Running Back? Nominations
Alright people, we're going to make a tournament out of this. List as many great running backs as possible, and we'll put them head to head until we have our champion, the greatest RB of all time. Let's try and nominate till we get to 16, but 32 is the goal.

I'll throw a couple names that were not mentioned in the previous thread
Marcus Allen
Curtis Martin
Marcus Allen is the only one that could possibly be in all time conversation, but C-Mart's numbers are up there with the best

Gotta put Jim Brown in there, if you can count FB as a RB. Emmitt Smith. Walter Payton. Barry Sanders. Jerome Bettis. Eric Dickerson. Curtis Martin. Tony Dorsett. Marshall Faulk. Marcus Allen. Ans I know this will be controversial, OJ Simpson.

No Gale Sayers yet, surprising. Ladainian Tomlinson, don't give me any **** for this. He's at 10,000 yards and he's been playing for 6 years.

Jim Brown was only put in the hall as a FB because of his weight. According to his bios, he pretty much was an RB, so he'll count for this.
I don't consider O.J. a controversial pick at all..dude put up 2K yards for the first time.

I was going to mention Marcus Allen in the other thread. I remember watching him in the superbowl Raiders vs Redskins. I was rooting for the Redskins.
I think Marcus had like 194yds? Some ungodly amount for the time/era.
The were the wild card, that's how I remember one of the very few wild card teams that won the SB.

yeah OJ is a murderer, but he was a phenomenal RB.
Also, BU, The Year the raiders beat the redskins in the superbowl, they were not a WC team. They won their division and were 12-4. They were a WC the year before but lost in the playoffs to the Jets in Marcus' Rookie year
The year the Raiders won the Superbowl as the WC team was in 80-81 against the EAGLES
