alright, he was a great receiver, but the guy never turned a reception into a big play. It was always a 5 yard catch. Moore could take any catch to the house. He was amazing.
Thomas was one of the only true every down players at his position, I will give him that and he could block with the best of them, but I just don't see how someone could put the great Lenny Moore behind Thomas.
Thomas was durable, dependable, but never could be that game changer, he was a great all around RB but not elite, imo.

Dude, you must not have payed attention to him. Thomas was a definate gamechange, and the catylist of one of the more notable offences in history. That offense revolved around him. He was in the same class of player as Sanders and Smith in there primes. Thats definatly elite company

That's why they lost 4 superbowls. Dude couldn't win the big game. He was tough, a grinder, put up consistent stats. They had a great Oline and a general at QB. Thomas was a great player in his era, but I always felt that the Bills needed more. He would get a big third down catch, then he would have 2 3 yard runs. Next drive he would bust a 20 yard run, then have 2 - 3 yarders in a row. The guy was, like I said, a tough and talented RB, but not a gamechanger, IMO.

The reason the Bills lost 4 SB's was because they played 3 better teams, and got out coached by he one team they were better then. Again as far as bieng a gamechager. I probobly watched every game the dude played living in Rochester. You must be think of Carwell Gardener. Thomas was definaty a game changer and a game dictator. As great as Kelly ad Reed were, that offence revoled around Thomas

it wasnt his fault that the Bills couldnt win, Scott Norwood missed that 1st FG in their 1st SB and if he hit that, their SB history might be a little different, although they still wouldve lost to those early 90's Cowboy teams, remember in that 1st SB the guy only rushed for 135 and a TD. he didnt do much in the other 3 but no running back get his yards if his team is forced to pass the ball the whole game
