I have no idea what happened to him, but he's just not a very good QB anymore. He makes what has to be the stupidest turnovers I've seen in a long, long time. Even when he starts off having an amazing game, you just know he'll blow it, and he did it that again yesterday to nobody's surprise. A couple of years ago, the guy was a legit elite quarterback. Now there's a lot of quarterbacks who are better than him. Is he finished? Does he still have something left, just not in SD? Should the Chargers get rid of him and start over? It pains me watching the Chargers who have always been so talented but can never put it all together for one season.

It doesn't help that Norv Turner is the coach down in San Diego, either. That's just mind boggling, really.

Well there are a couple things to consider here:

1. I think he and Norv are no longer on the same page. I think Rivers' bad play may very well be an attempt to help send Norv on his way.

2. He has NO talent around him? He has Gates, who hasn't been the Gates we've seen in the past, for like three seasons now. He lost VJax (thank you very much for that) and there simply isn't a real #1 on that roster right now.

3. The running game was terrible to start the season with Matthews getting hurt...

I think he can come back, he just needs some valid targets... I that same vein, I think Sanchez is much in the same boat, only that at least Rivers can say that he has played at a high level in the past...
