Well, you go right on ahead and keep thinking that. I'll guarantee you if you could ask any head coach in the NFL if they would rather have a 10 year vet with half a training camp or a young QB with 1 start under his belt, every coach would take the 10 year vet.

Yea if your just lookin for a couple years...Philip was real good in college and then on top of that he had Drew Brees and Doug Flutie tudering him and i bet that helped philip.Overall Philip has been around the Chargers organization for a few years just soaking up the bench waiting to start....And when he was sittin on that bench what else can you do then just watch the game and learn.

Yah OK, that's why he tossed less than 15 passes in his opening game, because after being so good in college and being taught under Flutie and Brees that his coach was so confident in his abilities?????? Oakland's run defense was stout that night, but they kept pounding for a lack of confidence in their young QB whom you seem to think should have just come in and lit it up???? Rivers with almost zero experience was almost good enough to beat the Ravens the first time. Don't dismiss this game as a walk in thpark if they face each other again. Worry about beating Indy first.

Are you kidding me...Philip did horrible against the ravens and i think he threw 2 picks...The only thing that kept the chargers in the game was our offense...yes it has changed now and we'll see...And I wasnt thinking that Philip was just going to come in and lite it up as you said but I knew he would be above average....And he is but he has alot of help LT and sometimes Turner...Thats why I thought he would be above average because no one would care about philip really just the chargers two great backs.

That's my point. The Chargers have made bigger strides and improved more than the Ravens since that first game. Sure the Ravens offense may be better than week #2, but Rivers is light years ahead of where he was in week #2. But you give the impression that because the Ravens won in Week #2 and because McNair has had time to settle into the offense that the Chargers don't stand a chance of winning. Like I said, you give the impression...I know you didn't quite say those words.

ahh my #1 nemesis 20edreed20 my silly little friend there is a big time difference in our team this year with Rivers and last year with Brees. im just gonna give you 3 reasons and then you can TRY to out argue me again:

1. because of Rivers teams no longer stuff the box when they play us, see Broncos games from the past and Broncos games from this year to validate this, and youll see my point, teams respect Rivers enough to allow LT to run wild

2. because or Rivers we won games at Cinncinnati, Seattle, and Denver that in the past we would not have won, a team plays as confident as their QB and believe me Rivers is one cocky S.O.B. that refuses to lose.

3. because of Rivers 6 points seperated us from perfection, how many points were the Ravens away from perfection? and your answer is 18

case dismissed about Rivers.

so did the Cardinals and Seahawks, so is their defenses as good as the Ravens you act as if he has to score every game, by the way did LT throw those TD passes against them? or did he throw that one TD against the Ravens? i couldnt remember....
