Default Belichick mission: How to stop LT

FOXBORO - And so, it seems, the consummate problem-solver is faced with the ultimate riddle. For the Patriots [team stats] to succeed in their next challenge, the great Bill Belichick must find a way to stop the great LaDainian Tomlinson.

Really, isn’t that what this is about now? The Patriots are one of the eight teams remaining in this NFL season, the one team being asked to face the top-seeded San Diego Chargers on Sunday at Qualcomm Stadium. And at the center of the San Diego offense rests the multitalented Tomlinson, a 5-foot-10, 221-pound power pack who presents perhaps the greatest singular challenge in the accomplished Belichick Era.

To stop LT all you have to do is just plug the holes...It's retty easy for the ravens because we have a very good D-line...LT does alot of sweeps also so thats where fast linebackers come in...When you face the chargers if you stack the line then you have more of an advantage to win the game...But that leaves alot of work to your secondary for when philip actually passes...It's alot of work all around to beat the chargers but i think the pats can do it.

despite your "good d-line" and "fast linebackers" LT still had 97 on you. numbers dont lie the Jets with a QB who cant throw for more than 20 yards and a rookie runningback had over 400 yards of offense in Foxboro. keep dreamin if you think that we get 400 yards of O and the same points as the Jets.

Yeah but Pennington is a better QB than Rivers. Should be a great game to watch.

He didn't set no nfl record scoring against the Ravens now did he! Silence your self! If the bolts do(???) beat the pats we will see it again.

Yea LT is just that good i admit that...But we DID keep him out of the end-zone and he didnt break 100 yards rushing...Thats big when you face a team like the ravens...Chad Pennington doesnt have that much of a arm but he is still very good and accurate...And dont say he isnt.

Wasn't that back in week #2? Back when Rivers had 1 game of experience under his belt? I'm sure if the Ravens go into this game with the same game plan, Rivers would do more damage to the Ravens defense than they did the first time. Let's not be so cocky here. I know you guys think your teams are the best....but you speak as if showing up would just be a formality for the Ravens because of the outcome of the first game. Each team has to win this week before you can start worrying about what they can and can not do to each other.

It doesnt matter we got better as a team also...Your probably just a ravens hater...It was Steve McNair 2nd game as a QB also after he came into training camp half way ending(chargers game he didnt even know the whole playbook )...Notice Steve has been doing better and better as each game we win...Dont say that it was Philip Rivers second game as in he got better because we have gotten better at the same time.PHILIP RIVERS HAS A 2ND PLAN AND THATS LT...Does Steve??hardly.

That underlined sentence is one of the funniest things I have ever read. We're talking about a very seasoned veteran here. BTW, I'm not a Ravens hater. But it's obvious you are an over optimistic Ravens fan. Fans also need objectivity.

It doesnt matter...When you have a verteran QB that only knew half the playbook if that...and on top of that you dont know your players that well which means no chemistry...Thats still hard...Even though it was Philip Rivers second game...He was still on the chargers for a while meaning that he knows the people around him and he knows how they all play and he knows the playbook...Steve had to learn the playbook with only half of training camp left...Plus like i said before Philip has a second option,Steve doesnt really.
