He led them to a score on his first drive, so that was promising. He did look jittery, but
that was to be expected, not having practiced with the first team and getting tossed
into the game unexpectedly. Overall, I think he did pretty well given the circumstances.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what he can do w/ a full mini-camp and training camp/pre-season with the first team.

i think he would be in Really good shape if they put one more reciver next to Mcardell. Alot of people say he is in a bad situation, but Ithink he is in the perfect situation. He has a good supporting cast around him,LT and their running game will take a lot of pressure off him, Gates is a great security blanket, and i think he will benefit from having an expirianced reciever like mccardell

well stated, Gates is a huge security blanket over the middle and will allow him to take some chances down the field, if they could secure one more receiver like it was said above, he would be a great situation. I posted in another thread about how he knows the systems and the players and I think he will gel with the team well before the season actually gets underway.

jackson or holmes would be a great help .Or even Stoval, if they go another position in round 1, he will be a good redzone threat

AJ smith as show he has what it takes on draft day especially when he has picks in the top 12. So my money is on Rivers being just fine and actually better than Brees by the end of his second season. It is documented that he has the intangibles is a leader and has the work ethic. Now we just have to weight and see.

I would love to Rivers outplay manning. I didnt like how Manning pulled a Kobe (sorry for the Basketball reference) and say he didnt want to play for the team that drafted him.

I think he may be capable of that, but not in his first season.

kobe was the most recent example, im not a fan of players demanding trades before they have even played a game. As for Kobe he came strait from high school and the NBA only gives 3 year contracts to rookies.
