Chargers spokesman Bill Johnston said Tuesday that Rivers sprained his right foot against the Arizona Cardinals on Dec. 31 and aggravated it in the Chargers' 24-21 playoff loss to New England.
The team decided it's best if Rivers stays off the foot, Johnston said.
The Chargers are still sending a league-high nine players to the Pro Bowl.

Oh... well that sucks for Philip Rivers...I know this isnt about this thread but doesnt that mean that Steve McNair will go to the pro bowl?...Because I think he was 4th in the votings for AFC.
