its easy to say that now when everyone knows that Brees had a good year. remember he messed up his shoulder pretty bad and it was unknown at the time if Brees could perform like he did in '05 and '04. besides Rivers was more than capable of filling in. Brees finished 10-6 in the NFC and Rivers finished 14-2 in the AFC, which most everyone can agree is tougher. i dont know about you but i dont think thats a drop off.
