Mike Sullivan, of the North County Times, reports San Diego Chargers DT Jamal Williams (shoulder, knee) underwent offseason surgeries on his right shoulder and left knee. Williams may need six weeks to recover from the shoulder surgery with the knee possibly limiting him up to four weeks.

Kevin Acee, of the San Diego Union-Tribune, reports San Diego Chargers LB Shawne Merriman (shoulder) is expected to be sidelined for another month or two after having shoulder surgery following the Pro Bowl.
