Getting rid of drew brees is way dumber than passing up reggie bush. guy is coming off two strong seasons carreer numbers, and club records and they get rid of him? They better pray that rivers is the answer

The guy is also coming off of a torn shoulder and an almost impossible contract scenerio. I believe he is the answer, he was great in college and has had 2 years to learn the pro game. Also all of the coaching staff is in place and their most key weapons, I believe there will be no drop off at all in their #'s.

Rivers is inexpeirenced, and he has a weak arm with a weird sidearm release. I think this is just a big mistake and mabey they should sign a vertern backup just in case.
LT cant throw all the passes!

He is inexperianced but like I said has had the time with the coaches and all of these same players, he is not out of his element at all. His arm strength from everything I read is better the Brees's is and the delivery is a bit side arm but he has been earning nothing but good marks in camp so far.

I watched him play the last game of the season, and while he didnt have it all together, he looked like he could be an outstanding QB. He made some tough throws that not alot of QBs can make. I think he will be fine

he will be awesome, He has a better arm than brees and already has the respect of his teammates. Mccardel has already stated that he is the best QB for this team.

i never really said that brees has a srtong arm, i never liked him. Hes kinda small and jumps around alot, the question really was if Rivers is the answer which you guys think he is, at least if hes not that good he got some weapons to make him look better.
I never liked brees, but the guys tough and can take a beating!

I said this before in a different thread, and I'll say it again. As much as Rivers has learned these past two years, it still remains to be seen how he'll handle the workload of a full season with him at the controls. It doesn't matter how good he was in college....NFL.....whole new ballgame.

yes, I think he is. They need to let him show case what he can do. He has the weapons around him to put up some big numbers.
