SAN DIEGO (Aug. 13, 2006) -- Junior Seau, a 12-time Pro Bowl linebacker who played with the San Diego Chargers and the Miami Dolphins during a 16-year NFL career, will announce his retirement Monday.

Seau will make the announcement at a news conference at Chargers Park on Monday afternoon, the team said in a statement Sunday.

The 37-year-old Seau spent the past three seasons with Miami after being acquired from San Diego.

He was a great player for the Dolphins. I personally thought he was going to place one more season then call it quits.

he wasnt great for the dolpins at all, he was always injured

He was a Hof player for the chargers, 12 pro bowl seasons in a row, that's a mighty nice stat

Hilarious Seau makes the chargers pay for his retirement party and signs with the patriots to play this season, priceless. I wonder if they will throw him another party next year when he retires again the pats must be desperate.

Seau should of retired when he left SD. He's been garbage ever since.

he had two 100 tackle seasons in miami, the media tore him up for leaving SD
i truly believe he can be more than decent in NE
he can even start opposite bruschi when he returns and i wouldnt be surprised

i have no doubt that he will produce with the Pats, but i still don't like how he came out of retirement.
