Damn!! You got me on that one Drunk. But in all fairness to Walter, Rivers has the o-line to protect him, Walter doesn't. I wonder if PR performance would be the same if he was on a team as bad as the Raiders. Just something to think about.......

Very true. Even though our O-Line is slowly being depleted with injuries, it doesnt compare to The raidurs. I think he would do a lot better if he was given protection. Ive seen a couple of times where he has made crucial interceptions though. He needs to work on throwing the ball away when the recievers are not open. Ive noticed he will try to force the ball in even if a reciever is covered or doesnt run the right route. Also, a HUGE factor is the recievers drop the freakin balls all the time. How can he be expected to gain confidence and whatnot, if they ccant help him out on the other side.

Question. Knowing what you know now, would you still have elected to skip Leinart or even Cutler for Huff? O do you still believe he will progress as the OLine gets better and he gets more experience?

As good as AW could be, he will make rookie mistakes like the ones you mentioned above.Yes, I would still have skipped on Leinart and Cutler. If we could strengthen our o-line next season, and give AW just a little more time, I think he could turn out to be a very good QB. He has the size, he can move, he has a good arm. All he needs is protection. Even if we would have had Leinart or Cutler in there, with our pathetic o-line, it wouldn't have made a difference.
