SAN DIEGO -- Chargers coaches told Antonio Cromartie before Sunday's game against the Colts that he was going to have a career day in his first start at cornerback.



How right they were. Cromartie, coming off special-teams player of the week honors after having a 109-yard return of a missed field goal last week, intercepted three Peyton Manning passes and will probably be named defensive player of the week.



"I'm not covering Peyton Manning, my biggest thing is to cover the receiver,'' Cromartie said after San Diego's 23-21 win. "Some balls were underthrown. My biggest thing was getting my hands on it."

Its only been 3 weeks. I know what he's done has been extremely impressive but things change fast in the NFL. Last year it seemed Devin Hester made a big play every week. This year you never hear about his play. Its been impressive don't get me wrong, I just think its way to early to crown him the next Champ Bailey.

No, I thought Vernon Davis was going to be the bust of the draft. I don't really recall why I just did. I'm not going to lie, at the time I thought the lions took Sims to early. Man was I wrong LOL, he turing out to be one of the primeier OLB and its only his 2 year in the league. He was projected to go early 20's and they took him at 9 which really scared me.

i know thats the guy i wanted that year, i dont remember anyone on here saying he was gonna be a bust, but i do remember someone saying that it was a reach to draft him so high based on nothing but potential.

it was only a reach because he was coming off a fairly serious injury and people were speculating if he was going to make it, I knew he was a beast
