Default Fred Dean: Hall Of Fame 2008 Inductee

Former Chargers defensive end Fred Dean was relaxing in front of the TV in his Louisiana home Saturday afternoon when a news crawl came across the bottom of the screen that lifted him out of his easy chair.

“I felt my blood pressure rise a little bit,” Dean said. “All of the sudden I started sweating like I’d been doing something outside. It was quite a moment.”

Shortly after seeing his name on the sports ticker, Dean received a call from the Pro Football Hall of Fame that confirmed what he’d just seen. After waiting 15 years, Dean is headed to Canton. He was one of six players voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame Saturday.

How do we know that if there are no records?
I think they should go back and look at films to try and find out. It would justify his induction better.

Kind of like, who was that Defensive End for the Rams that was amazing. I can't remember his name, but he'd have like 200 something sacks or so.

obviously you are referring to the great deacon jones who was part of the fearsome foursome for the Rams. If you watched Dean play, you knew he was an animal, once they started keeping records, he even had a 17.5 sack year and that was when his career was about over. The guy was a beast

here is some infor for you to learn BeastJ:

Congrats to Fred.

Despite being undersized (6'2", 235 pounds), Fred Dean played like a warrior for both San Diego and San Francisco.

Fred Dean has earned his spot in the NFL Hall of Fame.

Way to go, Fred!!!
