DeJuan Tribble got acclimated to the blissful climate of Southern California, and he’s excited about going back.
The San Diego Chargers selected the Boston College cornerback from Cincinnati in the 26th slot of the sixth round (192nd overall) yesterday during Day 2 of the NFL draft.
Tribble watched the event unfold at his grandmother’s house in Kentucky and is anxious to begin a professional career on the West Coast.
“I was ecstatic, it’s been a childhood dream to see your name come across the screen on draft day,” said Tribble, who already has received his degree in communications from Boston College.
“I trained for the (NFL) combine out there in Orange County not too far from San Diego and, man, they got some nice weather out there,” he said. “I really enjoyed myself while I was out there working out.”
