That's true but signing a mediocre WR doesn't make you a contender...They still have a rookie QB, no running game and a lot of other problems.

That may be the case with some teams but not the 9ers at all, I think they are the only team with out stability anywhere on the field at all. It will be a LOT more then 2 years for them...hell it already has been.

it will be even worse if they can't get people around Smith. Once he gets labled a bust he is done, even if it wasn't his fault.
