Antonio Bryant: Meets with Niners on Sunday

RotoWire.com Staff - RotoWire.com
Monday, March 13, 2006
Update: The 49ers' top offensive coaches met for several hours Sunday with Bryant, who left optimistic the two sides would agree to a deal, the Sacramento Bee reports.

Recommendation: After saying goodbye to Brandon Lloyd and Johnnie Morton in recent weeks, the 49ers suddenly are thin at receiver. Two of their free-agent targets, Antwaan Randle El and Joe Jurevicius, signed elsewhere, while another possible addition, David Givens, is being courted heavily by other teams. Bryant would give San Francisco a big wide receiver but brings a ton of baggage with him due to questions about his maturity. Plus, one has to wonder how he will react with a weak offensive line and skill players around him.

the unfortunate thing for them is that he would be thier number one, but they need someone to throw to.

The Niner's have a LONG WAIT before they will ever be contenders again.

thats very true, look at what the Brown have done so far this offseason. A few more moves and they make a run for the playoffs.

some wouldn't think it is so great as the talent level is watered down, but I like having new teams competitive all the time.
