Players poolies should start and avoid heading into Week 3 of the NFL season

(AP) - San Francisco is a lot closer to six wins than a sixth Super Bowl title, but for fantasy football leagues these 49ers are championship material.

Yes, the crummy little Niners of recent years suddenly have some players: Frank Gore's been a monster featured back, with 307 yards total and three scores. Antonio Bryant has gone over 100 yards receiving in two games as a 49er. Even Alex Smith is improved, averaging 260 yards and a TD. (He didn't hit 260 yards until his fifth game last year, and by then he had thrown eight interceptions.)

They're not quite Joe Montana, Jerry Rice and Roger Craig, but these guys should keep producing all year.

Yeah, but the rest of they team is crap and that overwrites them.

I know this isn't saying much but they did beat the Rams and a lot of people picked the Rams last week. Their main problem is defense.
I do think they will finish with more than 4 wins this year. Let me go out on a limb here and say 6-10?

I think the 49ers will be one of those teams that could be greatly improved on the feild, but not so much in the standings. They look alot better than people thought at the skill positions, and have some pieces on the oline, but their D is bad. And they are still a young team, young teams have to learn how to win games. I can see them losing alot of close games this year.

I really hope the 49ers beat the Eagles. I don't like the Eagles and it would be so amazing if the 49ers could come in second place at the end of the year. I am not saying they will, but it would be cool.
