Did Mariucci take this team to the NFC Championship? Well, n'uff said about his ability to coach. goes to show you can't hire somebody from NCAA on some NFL teams for that's the end result, they take a team and turn it into a laughing stock. Funny thing is, I don't laugh when the 49ers have a bad year. I don't see any Eagle fan joyful of their season last year.

I"m for taking a team to the playoffs, but don't go there to get spanked! Least lose if you have to by at least 10 points, not 30!

I guess you have some dedication to Jeff I can't throw a ball more then 2 yards Garcia. Don't mention the Pro Bowl, I'm not impressed with the same old talent going to Hawaii. Each time Garcia went there, he embarrassed the 49ers.

BTW, I thought the Joe Montana resigning was funny. YOu didn't get it?
Nooooooo!!!! Do not talk about the moooooch!!! He was a great coach and did more for this team than he is given creds for!! :evil

Nolan has shown more in his short time than any coach we've had in a LONG time. He has been making the right moves since he got here. It's only a matter of time.

do you like coach nolan VDavis85n'ufsaid??? I think hes gonna be a great coach for us.
I do like him. I'm encouraged by what is going on with the team. But, real progress amongst an NFL team is beating the big team. Which are the big teams say on our schedule? Despite not winning in the NFC North, the Packers are still considered big, next to the Vikings. Then you got the Bears. Over the AFC West, you got Denver, Kansas City, maybe San Diego (we'll see). Eagles/Saints are gimme games but decent teams still. Then we have the NFC West where to me, Seattle is the target to beat.

Now for Mike Nolan, I would be very happy if he can beat the Hawks. I'll take any other loss, except for the Raiders/Eagles games, but if that had to be our losing season, I want to see us beat the Hawks. A 4-6 win season, if now, is a good season if you can beat teams like Hawks, Packers, Eagles, and Raiders.

Would you believe on another unnamed 49er forum, they all pick Seattle to finish first?

Mariucci just couldn't cut it in the NFL from NCAA. Every time during the season when had the yo-yos he called his OC and DC, they came up with the worse plays that not even high school could call! The running game was bad. OK, maybe not bad-bad with Hearst, but it wasn't exactly 'hey, we're on our way to a Superbowl.' Then he never could make Garcia a QB for the 49ers. Pro Bowls don't count now. He was also too soft with Owens. SOme of the talent Mariucci just never panned out to being good players. That's why Nolan is weeding out the bad talent that has held this team from contention.

I do admit how JOhn York went about firing Mariucci made just as much sense as Jerry JOnes sacking Jimmy Johnson after winning some Superbowls.

He has a chance to just because he probably won't be the feature back. Barlow will get plenty of time. I really think Gore is awesome but he just hasn't been able to stay healthy.

I have a feeling he will get injured at some point and Barlow will excell behind this huge line we have now. As long as he stops dancing and just hits the damn hole.
