Default Niners rookie TE Davis suffers broken leg

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slu...v=st&type=lgns

SAN FRANCISCO (Ticker) - San Francisco 49ers rookie tight end Vernon Davis will be sidelined indefinitely after suffering a broken right leg in Sunday's 38-24 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The sixth overall pick out of Maryland, Davis was injured in the third quarter during defensive tackle Mike Patterson's 98-yard fumble return for a touchdown.

"I initially felt it while I was running," Davis said. "I was trying to tackle him, and I felt it pull, and then I pulled up. I didn't make any contact with him, I just felt it pull. That's when the crack must have gone through."

Im not sayin they were a playoff contender, what I ment by "sink" was their offence sinking to last years level

true grunt, but at least alex smith actually looks like a QB at times instead of a lost puppy.

And thats a good start for that franchise. Bryant looks like he could be a solid #1, but it will be interesting to see if Gores fumbles become an issue
