It's only been week 1, but I already know what's needed on the 49ers:

MOre depth on the Oline. It's obvious the team continues to have key players getting hurt. We need more depth obviously and better backup players. Though backup players may have held up well, that was Arizona. What happens against Rams/Denver? Answer is blowout games. Blowout games because the OLine will falter and Alex Smith will turn back into Alex Smith.

Get rid of everybody on DLine that can't play football. I rather have the players from training camp at that position. Nobody pressures the QB at all. Most of the sacks came from a LB or Secondary.

Get better SEcondary. They let WRs eat them for lunch. Where is the coverage S Spencer had?

Establish somebody to play next to Lawson, whether it's draft more LB or get more FA LB.

I say we need 15 draft picks to be a playoff contender, what waste the 2006 was to lose to the Cards like that!

Why do you have to whine that we need a lock, LTF? Offer some information or get off the subject. We lost to a losing team and there's obvious reasons why:
Dline
SEcondary
Lack of an Oline for depth. Two players got hurt, they won't come back next week, their seaons are PROBABLY through.
Get additional LB< and let me remind you LTF that we had a real LB core of Ken Norton, Gary Plummer, and somebody else in there, but that was a real crew out there that we lack for this year. We have Lawson and who out there? B Moore? What's he done? J Ulbrich, only for runs next to D Smith. The LBs we had not only got to the RB, but they stopped the QB. We lack that LTF, and we need the answers out there to see who can get to the QB and who actually wants to play football. Right now who we got, they don't want to play. I don't care what good thing you'll say out of that game, we lost, nothing good came out of it.

Request to please leave this open topic alone as it is for the Philadelphia Eagle fans have their off season topic of 2006 still on this forum. Ignore the poster requesting for a lock, he has a problem with other 49er fans.
