hah.. December of 05. How many weeks did you have to wait for the 49ers to sqeak out a win so you could post this?

Alex Smith threw at 50% accuracy, for 233 yards and 1 TD.

Thats not worthy of a "told you so" thread.
[/b]

If you read the thread perhaps you would understand....

He was a bust because....

"Worst QB rating ever."
"1 TD pass 11 INTs."

He sucks, he will never do anything in the NFL....

Not because

- Worst OL in the history of NFL
- No run game
- No defense
- No playmakers
- Hit on every play....

Of course my argument back then was all of the reasons listed above contributing to Alex Smiths poor rookie numbers last year but most people in that thread called bull****...

Now he has an OL, playmakers, a running game and a defense and all of the sudden 520 yards passing, 2 TD's, and no picks in the first 2 games and a 103 QB rating yesterday....

I'd say thats a huge difference.

The thing that is impressing me the most from Smith is his ability to sense the pressure, get out of the pocket, and then throw it away when there is nothing. His arm strength is awesome but his accuracy is still a little off at times but I'm tellin ya once this offense gets a few more games under it's belt I think we'll really start seeing what he can do for us.

I agree^^^ He looks better behind the line then last year. He looked like he was scared last year. This year he seems really confident on taking charge. Every game he plays he will get better. Next week is our true test playing a good Eagles team.

Yep,,,

Yesterday on his 72 yard TD strike to Bryant it was 3rd and 12 and he had pressure to his right, felt it, stepped up in the pocket and fired a bullet downfield.

I wonder if all the people saying how weak his arm was are the same people who said Gore was a HUGE reach in the 3rd round of the draft (*cough* Foxsports.com)

Alex has a freaking cannon.

Does it really surprise you that dbo doesn't know what he's talking about?

Keep in mind, this is the same guy that said Reggie Bush will be a scrub and then disappeared when Bush dropped 140+ combined on 25 total touches against the Stains in Week 1.
[/b]
What the **** are you talking about? I'm still here.

Chris Simms rules.

Haven't you learned to not bash young QBs with little time to prove themselves?
