Forty-Niners head coach Mike Nolan, searching for answers for his porous defense, said Wednesday that safety Keith Lewis will get an audition during the bye week for playing time.

Lewis, who was voted the captain of the special teams last week, might be the best tackler on the team. The 49ers, who have yielded 194 points, give up nearly three points a game more than any other team.
