He's proven otherwise.

8 TDs, 4 INTs, a QB rating in the mid 80's, good mobility and nice teardrop deep throws. He's posted QB ratings higher than 90 against both the Rams and the Chargers. And the guy is 22 years old. That's 4 years younger than Grossman, 3 years younger than Eli , 2 years younger than Big Ben and 1 year younger than Leinart.

Did anyone see this one coming?

Before the preseason, no. After it, yes. I think he's going to be pretty damn good down the stretch. Maybe not a HoF'er, but I wouldn't be shocked if he made a few Pro Bowls.

I can't blame people for saying that. He couldn't hold on to the ball for dear life last year. But the important thing is he seems to not be having any problems with it now.

When we drafted A.Smith, everyone knew it was the weakest draft class in years. I feel pretty damn lucky that we didn't totally strike out on all the #1 pick money right about now. Hopefully he can keep it up and not go the way of Tim Couch.
