Smith looks like a new man. His passer rating has more than doubled from 40.8 as a rookie to a very respectable 86.4 this season, with eight touchdown passes and only four interceptions. The San Francisco offense has risen from dreadful to middle of the pack, and Smith is starting to look like a player who was worth the first pick of the draft.

That was one of the best offseason moves we made this year. I hope Turner retires with us. Hopefully we get a SB ring with him too.

As long as Turner stays away from the head coaching job, he'll be an excellent asset to the team. His offensive coordinator prowess is fairly noteworthy, given the right players.

Credit must be given to Smith too for being a very smart passer and playmaker.

Didn't Aikman say that from the start? Either way, Alex has been playing even better than his numbers actually show **** the haters who gaveup on him last year.

Alex has a had a few touchdowns come up a yard short. His stats could be even better. He's limiting the turnovers and he's putting touchdowns on the board, even against strong defenses like San Diego. It's really fun to watch this guy. While I wouldn't say he's "arrived" yet, I feel better he's proving me wrong week after week.

This was the only reason i had any faith in alex smith this year

When you give Norv the time to actually work with a QB, he is amazing. He is probably the worst HC in the NFL, but as an OC/QB coach, the guy might be the best in the league

Hated when he left here, but Cam Cameron is basicly a Norv clone (learned under him as QB coach in Washington)
