Bench him... no. Is he playing poorly lately... yes. He's still under his 1st year in a new offense with adequate at best WRs so don't be so quick to judge.

Don't get too high on Gore. Often times runningbacks have one good year and then slip more, or get injured and nver get back up to speed with their old self. And lets see what happens when and if that Oline changes.

Im just saying.

Or when he makes it onto the cover of Madden 08 or 09

Why bench him now? Smith is supposed to be your future and to bench him now would rob him of experience. Other than Bryant the 49ers arnt exactly stacked at the WR position. And the Oline isnt exactly stellar either. So before you judge him too quickly, look around him.

That being said, the Packers really kicked your *** yesterday...ouch
