OK, here is how different I am from madman:
Never hated Steve Young
I don't agree on Jeff Garcia. He had some moments, but he never could cut it in the NFL. Now, if Garcia can take the Eagles far in the playoffs, then I'll say Garcia was a great QB.
I don't agree on D Smith, but we don't have anybody better. Ulbrich sucked as his replacement.
Mariucci, no.
Manny Lawson, we need somebody to help him obviously.
Damn!! You made some decent sense up until here..
Nolan officially said he's given up on this team the way he said 'we won't go for it on 4th down because we're not an aggressive team on offense.' Uh, Madman, I think we already have Steve Mariucci on the team to give a statement like that in losing your games.
Steady, why don't you and DHNF along with LTF hang out in the dumpster forum and just leave the football stuff to me, OK? I don't see why you don't like a counterpoint, so if one of you wants to get out of ducking me on this issue of counterpointing a post on the 49ers, I want to hear why you don't like my counterpoints.

If you learn what a paragraph is and how to type in normal English I will gladly discuss football with you.

If I was to say we need DLine/LB/Secondary/Depth, get rid of Harris/Smiley/Ulbrich, you'd call me a phony, right JCizzle? Yet if LTF says it, you'd call him a pure genius! I call it the act of a hypocrite if what I have observed on the 49ers is being stolen by LTF. I know more of what's gone wrong with the team, yet a yahoo like LTF thinks going 5 and 8 is great! We IMPROVED! Beat some ****ing big teams like Miami beating New England is an example of beating a big team. Each game we had--Eagles, KC, New Orleans, Pack, San Diego, Chicago has merited in not a loss, but a blowout behind it. That's not improvement if you're doing the same **** from last year. Can you explain the logic of supposedly fixing the team when it plays like it did last year?

Yeah, who would have expected this team to have issues? You, sir, are a frickin' Nostradamus.

Hordak, after enduring so many losing seasons and how many times the 49ers lose in obvious games, 0 and 16 it not really that far away from this team. If the 49ers did actually improve, the record would clearly be better but they didn't get good FAs, they don't let the WRs play ball, and Nolan doesn't know how to create passing next to running. We're losing because NOlan has gotten obvious as Mariucci did, and it cost Mariucci the job. LEast Walsh and Seifert taught passing and running, Nolan's plan for this team is going badly.

Nope, I would disagree with you on Smiley, other than that it looks good. We desperately need another CB and LB along with some pass rushers.

You make a good point, many of our losses have been quite pathetic. However, we have beaten Rams when they were playing good football earlier in the year and we did beat the Hawks. Unless we pull of a win against the Seahawks or Broncos our list of quality teams we've beaten is small. Where I do see improvement is obviously in Frank Gore and Lewis/Moore on defense. They've proven to be good players (Lewis/Moore) that I want back next year. I want Moore starting in the middle. The fact that we were in the playoff hunt for even a small amount of time in November speaks for itself compared to last year. Other than your pointless blabbering through half the post you did make some good points.

Now hold on, Elaments. For the first time, there are finally some 49er fans that aren't taking your side and they aren't necessary taking my side. They are looking and truly evaluating this 49er team. These fans realize that 5 and 8 means the team is not clearly improving, but at the same time, there are some differences from last year. My disagreement on this year is we keep making same mistakes like last year, and yet you, DHNF, STeady don't want to address this stuff at all with me. It's always win, win, win, win every Sunday. Now, I did want the team to win. But now that we're out of the playoffs and we don't have the attitude on this team, what's wrong with trying to get a better pick in the draft? I know saying no. 1 will invite a lot of groans, and there's no chance anyway with the Raiders and Lions, but I as pleased with no. 6. I think staying in the top 10 is going to help and improve this team, yet you seem scared about it.

"you play to win the game"
