Is anyone else with me here when I say he's one of the most underrated WRs in the league?
He gets no respect at all.
Bruce has had over 1000 yards every year that he's been healthy for the full season. Since 1999, he's had 2 seasons where he wasn't at 1000 yards. One year, he missed a game and missed 1000 by 20 yards while having 5 TDs.
Last year, he had nearly 1100 yards (Off by 2 yards) and a modest 3 TDs, while not being the team's primary receiver. In fact he was behind Steven Jackson and Torry Holt in Receptions. He had 14.8 yards / Catch.
In fact on this site I heard that he'd be splitting times with Drew Bennett and one of my friends thinks that he should be third string behind Bennett. How many 1100 yard receivers do you know that took a back seat to a guy that's had one good season?
Over his career, Bruce has had 13376 Receiving Yards, 80 TDs, 887 Receptions and a 15.1 YPC average, he's won a Super Bowl. He's 7th all time in Receptions and 7th all time in Receiving Yards and helped create one of the best, if not the best offenses ever.
People always bring up the argument that he's old and done. Consider this, Terrell Owens is one year younger, and has had 2 years less experience, he gets around the same amount of yards as Bruce with more TDs and more drops, while being the Primary target on the Cowboys. I'd take Bruce over Owens any day, I'd rather a sure handed receiver, one of the best at gaining separation, and that's a team player and keeps his mouth shut than Terrell Owens.
IMO, Isaac Bruce is one of the most underrated players in the league right now.

Great receiver at one time...still very productive...wouldn't say he's the most underrated receiver, though he is probably a bit underrated.

Yeah he's a very accomplished receiver. However he is going to have to decline sometime, may not be this year but he's in the latter stages of his career.
I know they re-signed him but didn't Linehan cut him last year in a salary cap move?

He doesnt do anything special. He is well rounded, may have lost a step, but still he is solid all around, which is a reason why he doesnt standout anymore. I remember he blocked a punt against the Packers a long time ago.

I wouldn't say he gets no respect, people were all over the guy's nuts a few years ago when it was him and Torry Holt. He's still really productive, I think it is safe to say he's a tad underrated at this point though considering nobody talks about him.

I can remember seeing Bruce get some mad props earlier in his career. Playing alongside Torry Holt probably makes it a little tougher for Isaac to stand out individually but overall, I feel like he has gotten his due respect most of his career.
The Rams offense simply lost a lot of sex appeal when Kurt Warner turned human.

To be fair, Bennett will probably be money ala 2004. And he's better when white people throw him the ball. Fact.
Bruce has always been cool, but I dunno about underrated. I don't think he's still a top reciever or anything, but he's a very good one.
