March 2, 2006
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) -- The San Francisco 49ers on Thursday tendered contract offers to receiver Brandon Lloyd, quarterback Ken Dorsey, safety Mike Adams and running back Maurice Hicks.
Lloyd and Dorsey are restricted free agents and can negotiate with any other team starting Monday until April 21. The Niners would have the right to match any contract offer or receive draft-pick compensation if they lose either player.
Lloyd was San Francisco's leading receiver last season with 48 catches for 733 yards and five touchdowns. Dorsey started three games in 2005, completing 53.3 percent of his passes for 481 yards and two scores.
Adams and Hicks are exclusive rights free agents and remain the property of the 49ers.
