Niners re-sign K Nedney

SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA (TICKER) -- The San Francisco 49ers re-signed kicker Joe Nedney on Saturday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Nedney, who turns 33 on March 22, made 26-of-28 field goals and 19-of-19 extra-points last season, his first with the Niners. He kicked a career-high five field goals in an October 30 game against Tampa Bay.

Nedney has converted more than 77 percent of his career field-goal attempts (153-of-198).

and now that lloyd is gone, and alex smith has no one to throw to. They may have less opportunities to score. LOL

Nice. It may be more opportunities for Nedney if they can get in FG range that is.

thats a big IF though. with no one to throw to and no real running attack they will have a hard time moving the football.
