Matthew Barrows of the Sacramento Bee reports "No doubt in my mind, none," Singletary said when asked if the 49ers could win their division and reach the playoffs for the first time since 2002. "I don't even blink at that."
"We're behind the elite teams in this league," Singletary said. "We can't relax. We can't blink. We'll take this time off, but we've got to keep our eyes on the vision."
I think it's definitely possible. The only team we really have to worry about as far as I'm concerned is the Cardinals. If we could take that first game from them to start the season, it would go a long way towards the 49ers winning the division.
Basel I am going to have to disagree with you on this. I think that the Seahawks will make a run for the division. They had a lot of players on IR last year and they had a OK FA signings and draft. The Cards I think got lucky last year and may not be so lucky this year. They have players that are upset with their contracts and they lost their OC and DC. If they finish better than 3rd then they are either a better team than I gave them credit for or either the Seahawks or 49ers did not do as well as I think they will do.
