Riders pick up three weekly awards
The Saskatchewan Roughriders are pleased to announce that quarterback Kerry Joseph has been named the CFL's Offensive Player of the Week. Luca Congi was named the Most Outstanding Special Teams Player and Andy Fantuz is the Most Outstanding Canadian.
In the Green and White's 26-24 playoff win over Calgary, Joseph was responsible for 500 yards in total offence. He completed 23 of 35 passes for 391 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed 14 times for 109 yards.
Luca Congi accounted for 20 of the Riders 24 points on Sunday. He picked up six field goals, a convert and a single point. His six field goals is only one off the CFL record of seven field goals in a post season game.
Andy Fantuz picks up the same award he won three times during the regular season. Fantuz led the Rider receivers with six catches for 127 yards.
