To the guy that called Ole Miss a second tier college team are you nuts? It's the SEC!!! Top football conference in the NCAA. Home of the last two NCAA National Champions. He didn't leave the Riders to take the OC for the U of Regina or Montana State or North Dakota State but Ole Miss.

Look at what he's stepping into: brand new coaching staff, the 24th ranked recruiting class in the nation (including a QB that Austin was in on the recruiting for), looking at their 2008 schedule they have a chance to play 5 ranked opponents. Can't wait to see how he handles the pressure down south.

I'm guessing the SEC guys are hanging out in the SEC fourms not the CFL one... But that's just my guess.

Usually SEC guys see an SEC team in the thread title and come running to see what's up. Maybe not enough SEC guys in this forum.

Well not really. see I just browse through the CFL forums here so I don't really count, and you well you being an SEC fan would make me think that you would have posted something about the SEC in an SEC forum instead of a CFL forum... but that's just me thinking.

That being said it is the most exciting thing going on in the CFL section of the board.

Today Kent Austin won the CFL Coach of the Year award for his work last year. Maybe that'll give Ole Miss a little more hope for next year. Wish I could be down there for the Vanderbilt vs Ole Miss game even if it is in Oxford...
