I think Seattle has a very big chance of winning the Superbowl this year. They are on a nice winning streak and have there key players are doing quite good. The only problem they might have is if they play the Colts which are doing very good this year too.

You're right, we do. Given this year's record though, I think we'll do better.

I know, me too. I live near Seattle, so even though I'm not a Seahawk fan, I still follow them when they do well. I lost a lot of money on the playoff loss last year, and I expect better this time around, especially when my Packers have not been fun to watch.

The only thing that I worry about is injuries to Alexander or Hasselbeck. Seattle can overcome injuries to receivers because of Hasselbeck's great arm, and they're secondary is very deep, but if one of those two key players goes down - Seattle's great play is over. If nothing happens to them though, I would pick Seattle as the team with the best chance at the Super Bowl - you saw how the Chargers were able to dominate the Colts. The Colts' 17 points only came because of lucky defensive plays. If Seattle can pass-rush Manning, then Seattle will easily beat Indy.

The Colts are beatable what you need to do it is a defense that can get after Manning with only 4-5 guys and then mix in some blitzs it will keep him off balance. You also need a good running game, the Colts defs is small but fast if you can keep running at them the whole game they will wear down. It will also help you against their pass rush. There are several teams that can do this, Bears, Giants, and Seahawks those are just dthe ones from the NFC there are teams that can do it in the AFC also. I do not think tht Colts are a lock for the SB and I have a feeling that they will loose one more game this year.

I think its quite a leap for you to be thinking about the Super Bowl already. As much as the Colts are beatable, which they are, so are the Seahawks. You are going to have to win some close games against great teams in the NFC to reach the Super Bowl. And you're right, if Alexander or Hassleback goes down then you are in trouble. Your offense is entirely based upon Alexander's play, so losing him would be a huge hole. Hassleback is a mediocre quarterback, but still a necessary component for the Seahawks to win.

No one here isn't thinking about the superbowl. It's two weeks to the playoffs and it's still a pretty open fight in the NFC. I agree with my fellow hawks fan though, seattle has the best chance as it now stands. We'll all just have to wait and see what happens in the playoffs. You say Hasselbeck's mediocre, who are you kidding. Look at the numbers he's put up vs. Eli Manning, Bledsoe, Vick, Delhomme or any other NFC quarterback. He may not rush like Vick, but he's still a soild, accurate, consistent passer. That's something the Giants wish they had.

I think it is this kind of cocky attitude that makes you choke in the playoffs. In the NFL you have to take in one game at a time, and especially in the playoffs with all the good teams. If you are already looking to the Super Bowl, you are setting yourself up for failure. And yes, I do think Hassleback is mediocre. You try to make comparisons, when I never even brought it into consideration. Yes, he is better than Eli Manning. So what? Eli Manning is an average at best quarterback, and I can admit that. Hassleback is consistent, but he is nothing special in my opinion. When Alexander isn't performing well, and the Seahawks need him to come through in the clutch, 9 out of 10 times he fails. I don't see any great quarterbacks such as Peyton Manning or Tom Brady doing this. I think the Giants would be better with Hassleback over Eli Manning, but who ever brought that comparison into play beside yourself. If you think you are going to the Super Bowl because Matt Hassleback is better than Eli Manning, than you have quite a surprise coming your way, come playoff time.
