Relax jeter4982. I think you're taking this all a little personally. Yes, I have a cocky attitude. I prefer the term "confident", but call it what you will. Thankfully though, it's the attitude of a fan who's a little excited that 10 years of watching his team are finally paying off, and not the attitude of the team itself. I don't play for the 'Hawks, nor do I coach them. My attitude as a fan has no bearing on the team. Next. I don't feel Hasselbeck is mediocre. I think he's actually quite talented and very underrated. You clearly feel differently, and no one can blame you for that. You also mention that he falls short when Alexander fails. That's true. Alexander is the backbone of our offense, and one of the top RBs in the NFL. Hasselbeck can't do it alone. Bottom line: I am excited, as a fan, that my team is playing very well. No one has ever mentioned Seahawks and Superbowl in the same sentence until this year. Can you blame me for being excited and talking trash? Your team is also playing better than they have in years, I expected you would understand.

No, I understand, and perhaps I was a little too harsh, but I just think this is one of those issues that we are going to have to agree to disagree on. Ultimately we can argue here until the playoffs come, when we will truly find out which teams are the best. I understand the fan's attitudes don't affect the team's play, but I think a lot of fans tend to take on the attitude of the team and their play. For instance, when the Colts were undefeated, I think the team was just thinking about one game at a time, and I think it reflected with their fans being excited, but not going around everywhere shouting that they were going to be Super Bowl champs.

Oh good! My dad likes the Seahawks as well. This means he will be happy.. Can the Seahawks go to the Super Bowl? Oh! My dad would be in knots if the Seahawks and the Patriots played for Superbowl. I don't know if he could choose a team to cheer for, he likes them both.

the Seahawks do look like a very good team and have shown that they can win without the MVP, but i don't think they can stop Steve Smith. and the Panthers defense should be able to play good enough to stop their offense.

This kinda reminds me of the comments I've been hearing all season, everybody underestimating the Seahawks, time and time again. Even after losing to us, all you can do is make excuses about missed field goals, a weak division, injured players, or defenses not playing up to snuff. Well, it's off to Detroit for us. The rest of you can start working on giving Seattle the respect they've certainly earned.

No one here ever said Seattle wasn't a good team...Do I think they're overrated? Yes. They have been extremely lucky this year, and I think that luck will run out in the Super Bowl.

i agree that they will lose to the Steelers, but they have not just been lucky. they were 13-3 in the regular season and you don't get that kind of record if you are just lucky.

Ya, they have a good record, but if you look at that record game by game, you will see there were a lot of games they could have/should have lost, and were lucky to win. Look through the posts in this thread and the others related to the Seahawks and you'll see what I am talking about

Horseshoes and hand grenades my friend. A win is a win, and a loss is a loss. If close counted, the Packers would have gone 14-2 not 4-12, because almost every game they lost was only by 1-3 points. By now, we all can tell you hate the Seahawks, and that's okay. I'm not a fan either. At some point though, I learned to concede that they are a very good team, and not where they are just by luck. You should do the same.

I know a win is a win, and a loss is a loss, that is not my point. I'll admit I absolutely despise the Seahawks, but I can admit they are a good team. What I am trying to say, is they are not the amazingly dominant team that people are making them out to be. They are a great team, but certainly not invincible by strech of the imagination. That's all I am trying to say.
