Despite what the FO might tell us, i think this says alot about their faith in D-jacks knee, of course if he stays healthy we will have a real nice group of recievers. Engram is still solid but getting old, now we have a trio of the future, although an expensive one. D-jack 6 years 25 mil, Branch 6 years 39 mil, Burleson 4 years 14 mil
[/b]
The way Nate's contract is set up, we can pretty much cut him at the end of this year with no conciquinces. He has not looked that good at all this pre-season and I think he will be out at the end of the year. If not why trade a 1st rounder for Branch? Our big problem on Offense is the absance of Joe-J and Jermey Stevens. Without a big target in the middle of the field it allows opposing teams to lock up our WR's.

I don't know if Branch is a No.1, but a good productive WR is worth a late 1st round pick.

The more I think about this, this was the best possible thing Seattle could do.

They draft ****in' terribly with their number ones as of late. Trufant being the lone exception of course...

Is their star linebacker their first rounder?

Not bad. Solid player. Worth the 1st pick? Eh we shall see as time goes by.

But no matter how you spin it, congrats Seahawks

pats got a steal.. he's not even worth a 1st rounder.. but you can take into consideration their pick won't be that high..

Tatupu is a second round pick, whom everyone said was a reach.

But I'll agree that the Hawks have done a fairly poor job with the first round picks the last couple of years. They've been lucky to get good players elsewhere in the draft though.

2003- First Round Pick Marcus Trufant (good pick), got Ken Hamlin in the 2nd.

2004- First Round Pick Marcus Tubbs (don't know how he's doing), got Michael Bouleware in the 2nd

2005- First Round Pick Chris Spencer (year or 2 away from starting) got Lofa Tatupu in the 2nd, and LeRoy Hill in the 3rd.

I also like their first two picks from this year, Kelly Jennings and Darryl Tapp.

I actually like the trade for Seattle. Branch,Jackson,Burleson,Engram,Hackett is a decent WR corp.

All that money and their receivers are all still average at best.

Chris Spencer will be starting at left guard here before too long.

I think this trade was a luxury. I'd rather have Branch for a 1st than Charles Rogers, David Terrell, Peter Warrick, Koren Robinson. All first rounders that are unemployed right now, except Robinson and we have already dealt with that.
