What can we expect from the Seahawk offense this weekend, with the absance of Shaun Alexaner. We got a preveiw against NY. Can we expect more 4 and 5 wide sets? Will this unsettle Chicago's D by forcing them into nickle packages? Will Holmegran throw all run plays out the window?

Don't get too excited about the 4-WR sets. People say the Bears' DBs are overrated and they might be right but the nickel and dime packages are solid. The two Mannings can play (off the field issus for one notwithstanding). Coming out with 4 or 5 wide sets too often against the Bears is suicide and if the Seahawks used that as anything more than the occasional gimmick they'd end up geting buried. I know we Bears fans say this all the time but if the front 4 get hot, there's nothing you can do. Just hope Hasselbeck doesn't get injured and look ahead at St. Louis after the bye.
The absence of Shaun Alexander is not really going to matter that much. You guys were winning with a watered-down version of him before because your offense is good enough to temporarily cover up that weakness. I think Morris can step up and fill the void well enough, but I highly doubt he ends up having a big day. I expect to see him take a couple of nice gains, but nothing consistently well above average. On that same token I don't think this is the week Thomas Jones is going to re-emerge against the Seahawks' stifling run defense unless the coaches have been up to something I'm not aware of. (crosses fingers)
The next question is, will my post be enough to un-hijack this thread?
